Twitter allowed posting textual-based content when it launched. Twitter has updated its features by introducing an option to upload pictures. 

Now, it also enables you to record voice tweets! Here's a simple guide on how to voice tweets.

Open the Twitter application on your smartphone. Tap the compose option on the bottom right.

Tap the soundwave option on the bottom left, and a microphone will appear.

Tap the microphone and record your desired audio. You can pause and continue by tapping the pause option at the bottom of the soundbar.

Once you finish, tap Done and then tweet!

Your voice tweets will appear on your profile. You can play them while you scroll through Twitter as well.

Transcriptions are On The Way!

Twitter has expanded its audio recording option. Here, you can not only record audio but also tweet a text-based post with it. Twitter also updated its users that they will now add transcriptions to the voice notes. This will give better accessibility to the users.  Users criticized Twitter for lack of accessibility because the voice tweets lacked transcriptions.

Soon, Twitter ordered its employees to focus on improving accessibility.  They solved this problem by announcing that the transcriptions would launch soon.

They also told the Verge about launching automated captions in the audio and video tweets. This will be the latest by 2021. 

The voice tweet option was very effective for its users. Yet, it did not prove to be effective for people with hearing difficulties.

. "We're sorry about testing voice tweets without support for people who are visually impaired, deaf, or hard of hearing. It was a miss to introduce this experiment without this support. Accessibility should not be an afterthought". -Twitter apologized.

Voice Tweet Does Not Work On Android.

Twitter's voice tweet option is currently unavailable for android users. It is common for companies like Twitter to focus on some options on one platform over another. The new voice tweeting option has the potentiality of changing how users interact with one another.

Users use the voice tweet option to record lengthy messages. People who consume these audio tweets can change how they come into contact with the content as well. The biggest hurdle right now is the accessibility of these tweets.

Why Doesn't Android Have Voice Tweet Support Yet?

Don’t think too much. This delay does not mean that android does not support twitter's voice tweet feature. 

Twitter is attempting to control how this feature rolls out to different operating systems. Usually, when companies launch an extra feature, they focus on one operating system. The feedback and responses from users give them an idea if other platforms would support this feature or not.

It allows them to make any changes and fix bugs. The practice of limiting access to one platform for a particular time is widespread.

It is still unclear when Android users will get access to voice tweets. 

Twitter is still working on adding features to other operating systems.

As for now, Twitter is testing the voice note feature on IOS. If it gets a positive response from users, they will launch it on Android as well. Android users now would not feel the need to wait too long until they can use the voice tweet and go tweet-tweet!
